Preliminary Pre-Upgrade DiagnosticHave one of our Apple Product Professionals give your Mac a thorough pre-upgrade assessment.  This will allow us to ensure that the upgrade process, and your Lion user experience, will run smoothly.  We will make sure your Mac's hardware meets the requirements, and check your Hard Drive's integrity to make sure that we won't experience any hardware hiccoughs part way through the upgrade.  We will also double check to make sure that you aren't running any PowerPC Applications so that there is no missing Software when you come to pick up your Mac.

Full Disk Permission RepairDisk Utility is great, but sometimes it's nice to have our commercial-grade software run through your disk and ensure that Snow Leopard has it's ducks in a row before we make the leap to Lion.  Our Mac Certified Technician will run your computer through our software, to make sure that your file system is fully optimized for Lion.

Full BackupOnce your drive has been cleaned up and polished by our software, we will take a full backup of your computer.  What's more, we take a perfect snapshot of your computer before the Lion upgrade, just to make sure that we have a copy of everything just the way it was.  This is key with any OS upgrade, as this is when your files are most vulnerable to data loss.  We will take steps to ensure that your backup has an extremely high level of integrity before moving on to the actual installation.

Clean OS Installation*A clean installation is better than an upgrade for many reasons.  Most important of these is making sure Lion is installed on a solid foundation.  A clean installation allows us to avoid carrying over any corruption from Snow Leopard and ensures that you are much less likely to encounter any problems while using Lion.  A clean installation also means that you will not wind up with space being wasted by old corrupted elements of Snow Leopard being left on your hard drive.

Full MigrationOnce we have placed a squeaky-clean installation of Lion on your hard drive, it's time to move all of your data back.  We will use the backup we took of your computer to make sure that all of your preferences and settings are moved back just to how they were before we started, allowing your to get up and running in Lion quickly.  As a last step we will make sure all your application updates are completed so that you don't have to waste time and bandwidth updating any other Lion components.

Lion WalkthroughWe will make sure you are fully oriented by setting it up and showing you some of the big changes right on your computer.  This way you know where your files are, and how to find them if you have any trouble down the road.
